Zebra Technologies has done it again. On the heels of its fantastic Xi4 printers Zebra has come out with a new miracle in item-level tagging, the RXi4 Printer/Encoder. There has been a growing need for high volume item-level tagging in many industries as technology has advanced from compliance-based tracking to item-level tracking.
Zebra Technologies has stepped up to the plate and designed its RXi4 Printer/Encoder to fill the need. The RXi4 is innovative, functional, and best of all cost effective. Using the new RXi4 can help companies lower their RFID media costs as much as 10 percent.
It does this by using Zebra’s adaptive encoding technology, which is patent-pending. This new technology automatically configures the printer/encoder with the RFID inlay position on the label instead of having to manually calibrate it. This saves the operator time and money and makes mistakes almost nonexistent.
The RXi4 also has other distinguishing features. Its on-pitch encoding allows tags to be very small and very close together. With a distance of .6-inch or 16mm the printer/encoder uses fewer media rolls. The savings in time and media costs can add up quickly. Companies can also use media converted for other brand printer/encoders with very little reconfiguration thanks to the RXi4. Zebra has also provided a global certification process so multinational companies can easily use the RXi4 throughout their whole supply chains.
All in all with its durable, ergonomic design the RXi4 will be a wonderful addition to supply-chair management for companies in numerous industries.
