The world's most used Barcode & Labelling software was upgraded to version 2019 just over a year ago. Since then thousands of customers have upgraded from older versions to the latest version, but there's still some confusion regarding what can and can't be done.

We've put together the below frequently asked questions to help you on the process

Can I still purchase a new license of the older Bartender 2016 version?

Yes you sure can.

Just purchase the latest Bartender 2019 License, and advise us you wish to use the previous 2016 version. When the License key is emailed to you, follow the link to login to Bartenders Portal, in the section to download the software select the 2016 version in the drop-down box.

You still get 1 Year Maintenance & Support on Version 2016.

Bartender 2016 is still available until the 10th of March 2021.

How do I upgrade from Bartender Basic/Professional 2016 to Bartender Professional 2019?

To do this you just need an active Maintenance & Support Contract on your current license.
With an active Maintenance & Support contract you can do the following free upgrades:

- Basic 2016 to Professional 2019 (1 x Printer)
- Professional 2016 to Professional 2019 (2 x printer)

Please note the older Professional 2016 license was licensed per PC and supported unlimited printers. Professional 2019 is licensed per printer and it supports multiple networked PCs.

I have Bartender 2019 and want to upgrade printer count/edition/version, do I need an active maintenance & support contract?
