With rubber-like cushions the scan window is protected if accidently dropped and likewise shouldn’t slip off counter surfaces either. It also has an IP52 sealing- rating with sturdy enclosure guards preventing against dust and liquid. The internal scan-engine and optics is also protected with anti-shock mounts.
