Have you heard about several new printers coming out of Epson, one of the world leaders in printer manufacturing?
Apparently the Green movement is catching on everywhere because these new printers are specifically designed to use a lot less power than previous models. Now, we are talking about point of sale printers, not just ones for your home use and reductions like 40%-80% less power used. That means pretty much every single store you go into could be using half the electricity or less when printing receipts. In a world where we are all changing our light bulbs to compact florescent, high efficiency bulbs and trying our best to remember to unplug all our kitchen appliances when we aren’t using them, it’s great to see that retail businesses can get into the act too simply by switching to new printers. Not only that, but they are Epson printers, probably the most trusted and reliable printers around. Just think how much electricity could be saved if every department store, retail chain and locally owned small business switched to these new, high efficiency printers. It would really add up and make a huge difference. Not only that, but saving energy is saving money, too.
Lowering operating costs at retail stores is yet another advantage this new technology promises. 40%-80% less electricity used is 40% - 80% less money spent, and I know everyone likes to save money. Epson’s new line of printers promises great reliability and a reduced carbon footprint, what more could we ask for?
