The Gryphon D230 General Purpose Handheld Linear Imager Bar Code Reader encapsulates the functionality of the D1XX and D2XX models of the Gryphon Desk line, then adds its own layers of expanded convenience and flexibility for light industry and retail operations.

Maximum Functionality
The Gryphon D230 expands data collection operations with enhanced symbology software that allows coherence in not only 1D codes which includes GS1 DataBar/EAN/UPC stacked and PDF417 composite codes.

The corded, handheld reader continues maximizing functionality and accuracy with Datalogic's “Green Spot” verification—it's second accuracy step that confirms the standard red laser alignment check, taking the guesswork out of complete data capture in both high-glare or low-wattage environments.

Melded Configuration
The D230 Linear Imager presents several choices to match customer configuration needs with RS-232, Wand, Keyboard Wedge, and USB options to meld smoothly into current system requirements, eliminating additional time, effort, and money that would otherwise be required.

The Gryphon D230 also fully integrates with IBM 46XX cash registers to further extend its compatibility.

Optimized Throughput
The patented Green Spot confirmation paired with the 270 scans per second speed, packed into a lightweight, ergonomic design almost attempts to veil the D230's ability to withstand repeated drops from almost six feet (1.8 m) and its coveted IP30 seal rating. Accuracy, speed, and durability all add up to maximized throughput, reduced replacement or repair costs, and confident inventory control and accountability—a healthier bottom line for retailers and light industrial businesses.

Optional Operations
When product size, location, and manoeuvrability might otherwise be issues, the Gryphon D230 tackles each obstacle with additional functionality. The corded model sits comfortably in a scan-optimal stand for hands-free operation for adjusting product for bar code visibility. When distance might be a factor due to size, the D230 captures bar code data at extended pitch, yaw, and distances, depending on the readability conditions of the bar code label.

Summary
When scanning operations require accuracy, cost-efficiency, and maximal performance, the Gryphon D230 General Purpose Linear Imager Bar Code Reader jumps ahead of the competition for light industries and retail operations.
