Wasp Barcode Technologies’ new WPA1000 mobile computer is more than a step ahead of the competition according to information in their February 2010 press release.

Remote Operations Aren’t Far-Fetched
Wasp’s WPA1000 mobile computer combines portability with productivity in its ergonomic design.

The Bluetooth™ technology allows freedom of movement and remote capturing of asset and inventory data. Remote transmission to the host system on-the-go is convenience magnified.

Massive Memory and Convenience
The WPA1000 mobile computer is compatible with the MobileAsset v6 software recently upgraded and with inventory control software for greater versatility, and it comes standard with 64 MB of SDRAM and 64 MB Flash ROM. The large memory capacity enables the machine to hold massive amounts of barcode data before download, increasing efficiency and reducing down time.

Integrated with its own laser scanner and touch-screen keypad, the WPA1000 mobile computer presents easy navigation via the 7-key and 6 feature key design, enabling independent asset and inventory data control on location, making this model a cornerstone of efficiency.

Lightweight Doesn’t Mean Fragile
The WPA1000 mobile computer weighs only 7.5 ounces (213 g), but it’s far from fragile. This compact model survived repeated drop testing from 4 feet or 1.2 meters from the floor and still came back for more. That kind of durability means reliability and worry-free operation in even a rough work environment!

Long-Lasting Power
With a rechargeable Lithium 3.7V battery, the WPA1000 mobile computer works hard for up to four hours with b/g connectivity and up to 12 hours without b/g connectivity. That’s a lot of work completed before having to recharge!

”Little Brother” Isn’t Second Best
The WPA1000 mobile computer complements the anchor model in Wasp’s mobile line, the WPA1200. Lower priced, the WPA1000 is designed for small business needs but has the capacity and durability to meet any business asset and inventory control needs. Smaller and lower-priced than its “big brother,” the WPA1000 mobile computer continues the quality in the Wasp mobile computer family line.
