Market watcher Canalys recently spoke with 4,000 random PC and phone users throughout Europe and reported that although touch screens are still merely just a growing interest, that interest has certainly risen rather dramatically of late! Those people surveyed were asked to rank their desire for PC touch screen Uls on a scale of 1 – 10 with the higher figure indicating a stronger interest.

What of The Remarkable Results?
*Desktop PC Users: 26 % gave a rating of 9 / 10.
*Notebook / Netbooks Users: 32% gave a rating of 9 / 10
*Of the phone consumer group, the results indicated that people that have owned many phones (up to 15 or more) rated having touch screens on netbooks & netbook-style devices very highly.
*Those people opting for smartphones also clearly see the advantages of having and therefore also prefer a touch screen integrated system in other types of computing kits.
*IPhone owners: These folks weren’t too concerned about touch screens for desktops or laptops; but a Netbook with touchscreen appealed to them with a massive 61% rating!

Without doubt the future trend for media-oriented touch screen tablets will continue to rise in the future with a good chance that the new generation of consumers will demand new innovative electronic gizmos and gadgets as they expect newer, better, faster and of course smarter techno devices that surpass previous models.
