The OPL7836 is a compact handheld laser scanner that naturally fits in your hand, enabling comfortable use all day. In order to increase productivity, the OPL7836 can read low-contrast barcodes, as well as high density (condensed) barcodes.

The new Opticon OPL 7836 handheld laser scanner is the first in a series of cabled laser scanners to be introduced to the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The OPL 7836 is a new ergonomic handheld laser scanner designed specifically for retail. The 100 scans/second device is fast and snappy - perfect for POS cash-wraps and stock room environments where quick aims and fast scans are key to moving product or SKUs and getting things done.

  • The pistol grip of the OPL7836 is specifically designed to reduce physical stress and enables continuous all-day or repetitive use.
  • The scanner weighs just 100 grams
  • Withstands drops of 1.5 meter onto concrete.
  • Available with USB, Keyboard Wedge and RS232 interface, enabling easy integration with any host computer system as a plug and play device.
  • Hospitals and other medical centers use the OPL7836 at the reception desk to identify patients easily.
  • Access control and visitor registration can be combined when using the abilities of ticket reading.
