Sockets Cordless Hand Scanner 7M is a mid-level scanning solution that sends barcode data wirelessly via a Class-1 Bluetooth radio to any Bluetooth-enabled device such as a Pocket PC notebook Pen Tablet RIM Palm PDA Symbian Smart Phone or BlackBerry. The scanner features a Class-1 laser with Fuzzy Logic scanning for damaged poor quality or hard-to-read barcode labels. Cordless Hand Scanner 7M features a powerful Class-1 Bluetooth radio that enables connections at a range of 300 feet 100 m even when connected to the weaker Class 2 Bluetooth radios found in many mobile computers. SocketScan software directs scanned data into any mobile software as if it were manually typed so the Cordless Hand Scanner 7M interfaces with your favorite applications with out any programming.

The innovative Cordless Hand Scanner 7M from Socket combines Class-1 laser barcode scanning with the convenience of Bluetooth wireless technology in a single, compact, lightweight device that is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. Cordless Hand Scanner 7M features Fuzzy Logic scanning technology for reading damaged, poor quality or hard-to-read barcode labels. The Class 1 Bluetooth radio provides a maximum range of 330 ft. (100 m). Powered by 2 rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries, Cordless Hand Scanner 7M features an expected battery life of 8,000 scans under normal operating conditions. SocketScan keyboard emulation software sends scanned data into any Windows, Palm, Symbian or RIM program. The exclusive error-proof protocol prevents errors in wireless transmission of data to the host computer with real-time data validation. The device also incorporates a built-in stylus tip for PDA touch screens and a battery status warning light.
