The VS1200 from PSC is a true vertical Scanner - specifically designed to increase productivity and profitability wherever vertical scanning is used. Ideal for high-volume food retail markets the VS1200 reads UPC-EAN-JAN barcodes. It comes with PSCs patented Edge decoding software for fast reading of damaged or poorly-printed labels The smallest high-performance Scanner available the VS1200 can be installed in most checkstands with little or no modification and it features a peripheral port for a handheld scanner to scan large bulky items. The design maximizes ergonomics with a large sweet spot for easy scanning right-to-left or left-to-right and its well-defined read zone minimizes accidental scans. A growing number of retailers now use Electronic Article Surveillance EAS to help reduce shoplifting losses.
